Quidam
We were running late to see Cirque Du Soleil’s “Quidam”, which was performing at Broad and Washington on the Avenue of the Arts. I had seen “Allegria” back in 2004 and enjoyed it immensely. We were starving and didn’t have time to eat dinner, so we pigged out on those imitation Philly Soft Pretzels. You know, these aren’t the real deal ones. These are the kind that they serve in movie theatres and have chunks of salt the size of the ones PennDot uses to clear up the PA Turnpike in January…We also munched on some buttered popcorn and a bag of strawberry Twizzlers (to get a fruit-based food group involved)…
Anyway, it was a great show, and it made me realize how uptight and unhealthy my body is…I mean, I struggle with yoga positions that I’ve been doing for four years! Regardless, check out one of these shows sometimes. And if you’re a man that thinks it’s lame because it’s Canadian = French, and that it’s wussy, then I’ll tap your shoulder next time you’re gawking at the Mummer’s Parade, watching the pretty sparkling colors they wear.
