Posterous

May 19th, 2009 Posted in Web Design

Posterous has just made my online world of all things “postable” a whole lot easier. I wasn’t sure it was for me, but after using the bookmarklet and hooking up the autoposting feature to my WordPress account, the whole blogging experience has become a lot more simpler and enjoyable.

Say you’ve discovered a cool site that you want to blog about. Just click on the Posterous bookmarklet to bring up the Posterous posting window. Enter in your title and content, as if you were logged into WordPress, and then click “Post”. You’re done! Your post is now in your blog.

You can also post directly to your Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Blogger account and loads more.

You can post via email as well. Say you want to post something in Twitter. Just email twitter@posterous.com from your email account. Even better, what if you want to post to both your Twitter and Facebook account? Just email twitter+facebook@posterous.com

Say you want to post a slew of photos? Just attach them all and email them to posterous@posterous.com. Your photos will automatically be converted into a mini photo gallery.

There a lot more that you can do with you free Posterous.com account, but I figure I’d share what I’ve been floored about thus far. And this thing has been out for a while now too…just discovering it!
