Custom Bobblehead Dolls

Melissa and I had our Wedding Rehearsal party at her Uncle Tom’s house in Richboro, PA. We had a blast, and thank them repeatedly for letting us have the party at their gorgeous house.

As gifts for the groomsmen, I decided to get them custom bobblehead dolls. There are many web services out there that specialize in this, but I settled on WeBobble.com.

To order, you simply pick out the body / character that you’d like and then proceed to upload a front and profile photo of the person’s face. You then pick out some details from their palette: skin tone, hair color, eye color, etc. And then you’re on your way! The prices start at about $90.

First, WeBobble will sculpt out the head. They then send you a JPEG proof of the head for your review. Here is an example of Wayne’s head, one of the better ones that they did:

If you don’t like what WeBobble has done with the head, just email them what you want modified and they will do it for you. After that, they paint the head and ship it to you…directly from China. Yes, your WeBobble head is made in China, and is packaged in Chinese newspapers, although their web site says their “Design Center” is in New Port Richey, Florida…Ughh.
