Fireball Printing
I decided to go with the most local printer possible, Fireball Printing, for my new business cards. After seeing their fliers around town and hearing how they produce quality prints for inexpensive rates, I was sold.
For $81 (including tax) I got 1000 of these business cards featuring double-sided color / double-coated digital printing on 12pt stock. This shot above is just an iPhone snap from the card sitting on my window sill.
If you’re looking for a quick turn-around, I’d recommend Fireball Printing, as they were ready to pickup within 48 hours of hitting submit from their web order form.
I’m not sure if many people actually swing by their office / facility to pick up print jobs, but it is a bit confusing figuring out where they are located. There is a little sign for Outlaw Printing on the huge 5-story warehouse that they share with other companies, but there is no sign for Fireball Printing.
Once I entered the building, I did see a mini-sign that said Fireball Printing with the number 3 next to it. So, I figured they were on the 3rd floor. After taking the old school elevator to the 3rd floor, I couldn’t find them at all. Some guy helped me out and then I found them on the 5th floor. Beautiful view up there, I must say!
I had a very subtle background on both sides of my cards, and they seemed completely washed out. That’s my only gripe really about the end print results. Then again, I designed these cards quite quickly without testing out the results in CMYK, so I’m to blame for that one. Everything looks glorious on your iMac with the monitor brightness boosted!
